ViveStudios announced on the 20th that it has signed a partnership agreement with JTBC to promote its new variety show My Name is Gabriel.
My Name is Gabriel is a new reality program produced by TEO, led by PD Kim Tae-ho, and is scheduled to premiere on the 21st. The show follows celebrities as they live for 72 hours under the identity of a randomly selected individual from the global population of 8 billion, experiencing “the real life of someone else” in a location where no one knows them.
To support the promotion of the program, ViveStudios created an AI photo booth using its interactive AI solution PLAY ON. The partnership includes three main areas of collaboration: △ Developing job-themed AI profile filters and supporting software (S/W) development that reflects the campaign concept.△ Producing and branding the physical photo booths for the campaign. △ Transporting and installing the booths for the offline promotional events.
PLAY ON utilizes both “Stable Diffusion” — a text-to-image generation technology — and “Face Swap” technology to transform users into concept-specific personas, going beyond simple graphic overlays to more immersive identity changes.
For this promotion, ViveStudios introduced new job-based AI filters aligned with the program’s concept. These filters transform the user’s appearance into one of eight professions, including doctor, pilot, firefighter, chef, and actor.
The My Name is Gabriel AI photo booths are installed in two locations: COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, and Hyundai Department Store in Mokdong, Seoul. The COEX booth is operational until June 21, while the Hyundai Department Store booth will be available from June 22 through July 21.
At COEX, the booth offers only the job profile filters. At Hyundai Department Store, the booth provides three filter modes: job profile filters, the cartoon-themed “Play Toon,” and “Basic,” which includes facial enhancement features.
Ji Seok-geun, Director of Strategic Marketing at ViveStudios, stated, “JTBC’s new variety show My Name is Gabriel reflects the desire of modern audiences to experience life through the eyes of another. Through the AI technology of PLAY ON, we hope visitors can try on a new version of themselves and enjoy a meaningful experience that resonates with the show’s core concept.”
